Properties and characteristics
SURTEK 650 is used to obtain a coating on aluminium and its alloys that improves paint adhesion and corrosion resistance protection.
The typical coating obtained is colourless; depending on the alloy used, 350 hours can be reached in the salt fog test.
Slight differences in the appearance of the product do not compromise its efficiency and operating performance.
Each alloy reacts with the ALODINE 5993 bath to yield a coating that is characteristic for that alloy.
It is important to keep this in mind if one contemplates assembling various alloys for parts to be left unpainted for aesthetic purposes.
The deposit contains chromium III (trivalent).

Corrosion resistance
Corrosion resistance in 5% salt fog is 20 hours.

Mechanical, electromechanical, aviation, space, agricultural, nautical, etc.

Operating conditions
It can be used as a final treatment, or as a priming coat for paints, glues, and inks.
